Claims Agents with In-Depth Knowledge of Eligibility for VA Benefits
Veterans of the United States armed forces may be eligible for many different programs and services provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, but you must meet certain requirements first. To learn what those requirements are and how they may apply to you, contact our VA-accredited claims agents at 888-573-7838 for a free initial consultation.
At The Rep For Vets®, our claims agents have in-depth knowledge of these requirements. Our claims agents understand the laws and the appeals process to take care of things for you so that you get the benefits you deserve.
You may be eligible for disability compensation if:
- You have evidence of a current disability: You must be currently suffering from a disability to qualify for benefits. There are many different types of injuries and diseases that affect veterans, including both physical and mental disabilities. Proving the existence of these disabilities often requires a medical diagnosis of your condition. Our claims agents represent clients with disabilities including hearing loss, scars, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), diabetes and injuries to joints, as well as many others.
- Your disability occurred or became worse during service: Your injury or disease must have occurred or become worse during service. Veterans each have different experiences, and injuries can happen in different ways. Tell a claims agent your story.
- You show a connection between your current disability and your time in service: You must establish that your current disability is somehow connected to the injury or event during service, establishing a "nexus" between your current health and things that happened in the past. Doctors' opinions and medical records are often necessary to show a service connection.
Sometimes disabilities can be service-connected even though they are not directly linked to an injury or event during service. For example, if you suffered a back injury during service and then developed depression because of chronic back pain, you should file claims for both your back pain and the depression.
You are never too old or too young to think about veterans disability benefits. Military veterans can begin receiving benefits at any age. And your gender doesn't matter either.
